As revealed in the previous blog, Volusion store of US based client was redesigned and customized according to business requirements. Client deals in apparel, accessories and other products and wished to have a portal that provides more information on product categories and sub-categories. Listed below are few more custom features accommodated on the website:-

What was asked and what was achieved?

1. Client asked us to incorporate a section at bottom of the page(s) to showcase brand logos. Each logo is targeting that brand-based page and displays the products accordingly.



2. Product category and sub-category pages on the portal were redesigned on custom theme. Let’s take an example,
• Home >> Apparel >> Polo Shirts
• Based on the product, the page is divided in four parts. Our Volusion designers’ custom theme designed the page(s) with a new background color, customized drop downs and text boxes, changed button size, provided mouse over effects on tabs and provided table borders.








3. Similarly, category pages were custom designed with bullet icons. Text color of the product description was changed too.

Volusion Store Design and Customization - ShopElitePromo.com - Part 1

One of our US based client asked us to redesign their ecommerce portal. This portal deals with different kinds and well-known brands of apparel, accessories and related products for men and women. A simple redesign on Volusion required few hours of work and efforts and what was finally on the internet platform was an exclusive ecommerce store. Our designer team categorized and sub-categorized products based on client’s business requirements.With an intuitive and dynamic theme layout, simplified navigation structure, well-organized integration of shipment, payment and other channels, the portal finally hit the virtual platform.

What was asked and what was achieved?

Header - Drop-Down Menu
Client asked us to integrate a drop down on header where menu is displayed. It was not a simple drop down but meant to be meaningful and attractive. In other words, our designers had to custom design the entire menu whereby every menu item was categorized according to products. This allowed easy accessibility to respective product categories. 

  The screenshot above describes about “Home” menu.

1. Mouse over “Home” and find “Categories”, “Featured Brands” and “Featured Product” on the drop-down
2. If “Categories” are targeting links on products on website, “Featured Brands” provide an insight on products related to particular brands
3. “Featured Product” is something unique created, based on the requirement and received maximum views from visitors.This part stands out due to image and catchy content integration on drop down

 All the other items in menu were custom designed according to respective category requirements. 

 Footer

The second part on the website that was custom designed was footer.

 Volusion provides footer according to theme installed, however; our designer team modified the entire part by providing menu content on the bottom. The advantage of using a broad footer is to provide complete overview of estore. Uniformity was maintained on the whole site; theme was customized in the following manner:-

1. Categories: Browse for products or promotional schemes. It was forwarded by client keeping in view the most searched products and other links on the website.
2. Browse brands: Categorize products with respective brands with targeted links.
3. Customer Service: Get in touch with website owner through different mediums like live chat, About Us or read their knowledge base – shipping, returns etc.

As asked by client, we integrated logo – ASI, a mark of genuineness alongside “Volusion” SSL symbol. This was highlighted on footer along with social media and payment gateway icons.
